Learning to love myself

This Page is a bit dark and not alot of textures going on here, but that's because if you could feel the pages, it feels like leather, and thats because I used a foam roller to apply the paint.  I just love the feel of it, makes the pages thicker also, so you dont even have to stick 2 pages together like I usually do, because I bought a cheap visual diary.

Everything is Possible

I wanted to do a bright background for this page.  I started with drawing where I wanted the shapes and flowers.  Then I started to colour.  I stamped and went back with colour, to push the stamps into the background.  I left the page unfinished for about a week, and then my mum send me this quote, which inspired me to finish it.

Live life in full colour

I got inspired by a youtube video for this page, to have a middle page smaller with a "hidden message"  I love to get my quotes form pintrest.  After Youtube its my fav.  So for this page I started with the sheveron design at the back which is actually tissue paper and just layered with paints, stamps and inks.

This is one of my favorite pages. I just loved making it.

I used some Ranger Inks for the background, and stamped with "vintage photo".  The Stamp is from Kayser - Fly free.

 

Since we are relocating from South Africa to New Zealand, I felt inspired by this page.

 

 

Trying out some masking for the trees, using Ranger distress inks and then embossing the trees for the effect.   

 

Here I used my favorite inks again and also coloured chip board cut outs with the inks.  Stamping also in the Ranger inks (Seedless Preserves - Purple)

These pages are just me playing around not yet having a good feel for what goes where.  I used some glossy accents here, and it made my pages very sticky.  I watched a youtube video on one of my favorite  artists, Vicky Papaioannou about sticky pages and followed her advice. That's why some of this pages are somewhat shiny.  But it has definitely improved the sticky situation.
